This role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in the world. We're hiring an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Product team.
Atomix is an early-stage venture building an automated lending platform. We're looking for entrepreneurial, highly capable problem-solvers who want to design, plan, and build in a fast-moving, greenfield environment - shaping the technical foundation of the product from the ground up.
In this role you will:
- Help design the interaction paradigms needed to allow multiple users to collaborate using our PAAS
- Design and build the systems behind an intuitive, high-quality user experience
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the business
- Build and maintain responsive front-end components across multiple platforms
- Design and develop web applications using TypeScript, React.js, Next.js and Tailwind
- Design backend microservices using Node.js, PostgreSQL, RabbitMq, Redis
- Develop Rest and GraphQL endpoints
- Plan, present, and communicate proactively with the team throughout the development process
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience working in a fast pace tech-driven startup as a Software Engineer.
- At least 5 years of commercial development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Frontend Stack - HTML5, React.js, Next.js and TypeScript with experience developing scalable systems and responsive sites (browser, tablet, mobile).
- Database knowledge: PostgreSQL, Schema designing, queries and procedure, views, indexing, sharding and scaling, permissions.
- Backend: microservice architecture, CI/CD workflow automation with Github Actions, object-oriented design, and security best practices, using Node.js
- Confidence with NPM, Lint, and continuous integration tooling
- Ability to deliver creative solutions for responsive, cross-platform functionality
- A strong sense of ownership - able to take projects from end to end while working independently
- Comfort switching between tasks and collaborating with others in a fast-paced, agile team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Big-picture thinking - able to anticipate and flag issues early, including outside your immediate area of work
- Strong self-management: clearly framing problems and proposed solutions, planning your work, and communicating progress and blockers
Bonus if you have:
- Experience maintaining open source software development is highly preferred.
- Deep technical understanding of blockchain technologies is also preferred.
- Experience in testing frameworks like Cypress, Jest, selenium
- Experience using rapid mockup or design tools like Figma
- Able to learn new tech where needed and move around the project working on the highest priority areas
- Experience working with Domain Specific Modelling Languages (DSML).
- Experience working with AI agents
- Experience in infra management, deployment and monitoring stack such as Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, open telemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Terraform, Terragrunt is a plus
- Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Experience in financial services, ideally lending
